EirGrid and ESB, in their respective capacity as Transmission System Operator (TSO) and Transmission Asset Owner (TAO), have today launched a consultation on a draft document outlining the performance of the transmission system in 2018 and a draft document outlining investment planning and delivery in the same year. These are 2018 Annual Electricity Transmission Performance Report (APR) and 2018 Investment Planning and Delivery Report (IPD).
The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU), as part of its decision paper CER/18/097, decisions 1 and 5, requires the TSO and the TAO to
produce joint reports setting out their annual performance in regard to the operation and development of the Transmission System. The reports are intended to provide customers, industry participants and other interested parties with a clear, accessible, comprehensive, quantified but non-technical report on performance in the calendar year.
The reports will evolve over time, taking into account feedback from industry and stakeholders and changes as may be requested by the CRU. As part of this process we are seeking customers and stakeholders feedback on the draft reports in advance of their finalisation. For example, there might be areas that you feel require more detail or indeed where you feel there is too much focus; areas that are not currently covered that should be considered for inclusion etc.
