The following documents provide information on generators in Ireland which are connected to the transmission system operated by EirGrid or have signed future connection contracts with us.
Electricity generators can be:
- Connected to the Transmission System (high to medium voltage power lines) or
- Connected to the Distribution System (medium to low voltage power lines into homes and businesses)
EirGrid is the Transmission System Operator (TSO) and ESB Networks is the Distribution System Operator (DSO).
Lists of TSO connected and DSO connected generators are published separately by the TSO and the DSO. Please note that while every effort is made to ensure that the TSO connected and contracted information is correct at the time of posting, it is subject to regular change.

Contracted (Future Connections)
ESB Networks, as the Distribution System Operator (DSO), publishes lists for generation which is connected to, or contracted to connect to the distribution system. A link to the relevant page on the ESB Networks website for distribution information can be found here.
